Here we go, the first entry,
Ever frustrated that, no matter what you do, when you try to send/receive mail in OUTLOOK you get an error message:
The operation failed.
What kind of error message is that!
What I have found that worked in Windows 2000/XP is:
Exit from Outlook.
Go to the task manager (or ctrl-shift-esc) and hunt down and kill (in the processes tab) OUTLOOK.EXE
Ignore the warning, when you restart Outlook, it works!
Not sure what conditions cause this error. It may be related to Active Sync, may not.
